Judging and Prizes
Photographs and videos will be judged on originality, artistic and technical merit, and their portrayal of BearVault products. One grand prize winner will receive a $250 cash-value gift card, redeemable anywhere Visa and/or Mastercard are accepted.
Contest Rules
We support the principles of “Leave No Trace“. Respect wildlife and do not approach or invite encounters with people or man-made items, including your BearVault, food, or waste. Any photographs or videos that appear to violate Leave No Trace principles will be disqualified.
Photo and Video Submission
Photographs should be in high resolution (preferably greater than 3 Megapixels), with no or very minor touch-up. Video should be less than 5 minutes in total length, may be edited according to artistic choice, and should be in 720p or greater resolution.
We require a release (sent by email) for any people whose faces are identifiable in the pictures, prior to the submission being accepted into the contest.
All submissions are subject to initial approval, entirely at the discretion of BearVault, for adherence to the guidelines, rules, and goals of the contest. All approved photographs and videos may be displayed on our website at least until the close of the contest, but may be displayed longer.
Privacy
We collect some of your personal information for the purposes of this contest and communications about your experience with BearVault. We do not share your personal information with others, subject to our privacy policy.
You may choose whether or not you would like the photo or video credited with your name when displayed on BearVault’s website and social media. No credits will be included for any other uses of the photographs.
Eligibility and Rights
The contest is open to all humans over the age of 13, except anybody who is employed by, a contractor of, or sponsored by BearVault. Photographs and videos submitted to our contest in a prior year are not eligible for re-submission.
By submitting your photograph(s) and video(s) you grant BearVault unlimited rights to use the photograph(s) and video(s) in any format, including in part or with modification, free of fees or royalties. Photographs and videos may be used in association with any of BearVault’s or its affiliates’ materials or electronic assets, including public and social media posts and sites, and commercial use.
